“Triple F Rule” (Form Follows Function) the demanding slopes of the
Bavarian Alpes had originated a type of shoe to last, incorporating
exactly those desirable qualities regarding form and function.
Simply a brogue, those shoes had to withstand the burdens of hunting
and working in the mountains, as well as they had to fulfill their
representative function in dominical churchgoing.
Bare of frets, this design has experienced little to no changes, once
workmanship was developed towards perfection.
Always a family business, Huber have produced traditionally crafted
Bavarian brogues since 1935. We are proud shoemakers in the third
generation. Mass production is something that was never appealing to
us. In a beautiful landscape, where the Isar flows into the Danube,
we produce what we define truly good shoes: welt-sewn, first and
foremost double stitched by experienced craftsmen!
Never out of fashion for the past 200 years and made to last almost
as long, we feel that our traditional, as well as our classic line of
shoes should become better known outside of Bavaria.
On these pages we offer a range of seven well-tried traditionally
crafted men’s shoes. For each one you may choose from five different
upper leathers and three different types of soles. All shoes are
delivered on wooden shoetrees. Models not in stock can be made to
order at short notice.
Apart from standard sizes, we can help to meet your feet’s special
demands. Feel free to contact us in English at any time to discuss
what we can do for you.
